Santino BYO Cruise (Bring Your own) Enjoy cruising the scenic coastline of St Maarten - all the way to the north side where you will discover the pristine islands of Tintemarre and Pinel.
Tintemarre island is also known as Flat Island, and has a rich and colorful history. Although now deserted, Tintemarre was used a refueling base for submarines in WWII.
Hiking across island reveals that it was once inhabited with workers and farming as an industry and even its’ own currency. The remains of two aeroplane wrecks can still be found across the flat plains, as well as the original farmhouse, farming implements and old stone walls.
But it is the breathtaking white sandy beaches and marine life that will draw you to spending most of your time in the water, discovering the rich and protected underwater world. Beach, snorkel, swim or simply grab a noodle and chill next to our floating cooler. Snorkel gear, beers, sodas and rum punch are included. Bring your own special refreshment and a picnic lunch.
Onwards to Pinel in the afternoon where hungry swimmers can picnic, or there are three great restaurants that serve up delicious food to hungry boaters. Visit Karibuni under their unique palm thatched tables and ask for the freshest mahi mahi. Yellow Beach serves up tasty fresh lobster. Ask for the wagon table set up right in the water. Pinel has a palm fringed beach with chairs and umbrellas. The water is calm and shallow, making it perfect for kids and lazy noodle lovers.
A walk around the island reveals bird life, a private beach and a swim platform to access a great snorkel site. Santino departs Pelican Marina Fridays at 10am
Boat returns around 5pm $50 pp + $3 Marine park Fee
