Good to know:
Rental cars and taxi are offered in port after disembarking the boat.
Taxis tours are offered and the tour takes approximately 1½ hours. The tour takes you around the island and lets you off in the famous St Jean Beach area where you can have lunch, shop and relax on the beach before the taxi comes back to drop you off in Gustavia for the ferry. You can also opt to head straight back to Gustavia after the tour and enjoy Shell Beach, the restaurants and shopping in the port. Whatever you take along on the trip will be with you all day, unless you are renting a car. We advise you to pack light.
Car rentals can be pricey in season and sometimes unavailable over Dec/ Jan. Costs are from $80 in high seaon and from $50 for the day in low season. Valid driver’s license and credit card are required. The roads are steep and hilly, twisty and turny and they drive fast there, but you can stop at your leisure to sightsee and pick a great venue for lunch.
The 45 minute ferry ride can be bouncy going over and is usually quite smooth coming back. We operate unless advised not to by the port. Ask about sea conditions if you have concerns.
